“Sometimes I used to think to myself, why was I born as an Indigenous man? Why couldn’t I be born as someone else, as a white person, because everyone respects [them]? And then I realised that, hold on, it’s because these people do not understand who we are and they know nothing about us...we need to teach them.”

Clinton Pryor, a young Wajuk, Baradung, Kija and Yulparitja man, is only a few months away from completing his walk from Perth to Canberra to put First Nations' issues at the forefront of the national agenda.

Filmed by Alfred Pek.

Music: Voices in the wind and Barayamal by Kristian Benton.
